The Half-Way Point

Friday marked week 20 of my pregnancy (20 down, 20 or so to go!). With the exception of a few dizzy spells, I'm feeling pretty darn good. I'm also finally starting to show a little bit, so when I tell people I'm pregnant I don't get quite as many "oh, sure you are" looks.

I had my doctor's appointment, and we had our routine 20-week ultrasound. The Tadpole (or "Scoot" as we've started calling this one sometimes) is growing right on schedule, has all his/her internal organs & appendenges working and in the right spots, and we were treated to a demo of his/her's suckling & swallowing abilities!

No, we did not find out the gender. And no, we didn't want to. I have no problem with other people finding out ahead of time with their babies, but for some reason I like the idea of being surprised on delivery day. Otherwise it feels too much like picking up someone you already know from the airport for me. Besides, everything we already have from Olivia is very unisex (jungle animal theme mostly), and there's really no real rush to find out one way or the other.

Here are some profile shots of our little bun in the oven:

Keep on baking, little one!

I dreamed last night that you were having a boy. So I figure I have a 50/50 chance of being a prophetic genius!! :)
